We had several options once the software had found a lost partition. When we clicked the 'Recover Lost Partitions' button, the recovery function displayed a window where we needed to perform the recovery, and the program started searching for lost partitions when we clicked the next button. We intentionally deleted a partition to see how the recovery process worked. You may notice something you do not understand or unallocated space where a partition was supposed to be. A pop-up dialog box appeared that displayed the current data allocation and allowed us to set the desired partition size. We right-clicked the partition we wanted to resize to open a context menu that gave us the option to resize partition in addition to several others. When we launched the software, it listed the current partitions and their respective states. While we could use the built-in disk management tool to resize our partition, we did not want to delete files in the partition, and DiskGenius Free allowed us to retain our data. Since the software has many functions, we have chosen to focus on only two in this review, starting with resizing an existing partition. Doing so would destroy the files beyond recovery.
